There were so many beautiful books to choose from. I loved Dogs want to have Fun. That book hasn’t been released yet, so my second choice is Meditations Through Coloring. I love that the drawings are so very detailed, and result in mandala-like reactions. This book has small spaces, so color changes would be necessary to keep the details interesting, and the coloring lines wouldn’t be seen from having to fill in large spaces (where people such as myself might get impatient).

I find the coloring books really useful when I am really stressed out when i get home after i get off of my volunteer job and need to unwind and i go to them automatically and spend hours on them and i use sharpies markers or colored pencils or regular markers as I dont have prisma colored pencils or gel pens. When i color in my color books i think about how I want my design in my books to turn out and not be stressed from what had in my day. I was born with learning disabilities and what ever tool or skill i find it works for me to unwind or to distress and I also knit and crochet and bead and it really helps with my stress levels. Most people think this does not work or i listen to music. It really does help me. I would love to be entered into the coloring book drawing as i would store up on coloring books and save me money from buying them from the store!

I have been a secret coloring book fan for years, but only this past year have I heard the call of “my people”!! LOL…
I did not realize so many were into coloring, granted I only colored in what my kiddo colors, but I have dreams of something more intricate. Then I heard on GMA about what a trend it has become and the lavish and beautiful books for adults that have come out! I did some google searching and came across the Coloring Book group on Facebook, and I am in AWE of the beautiful work!!

I found the contest and had to enter… I painstakingly went over all the books on your list…. and since I was also deep into the “tagging” world with is using designs from Artists to create digital Art, I have been a long time fan of Selina Fenech and her mermaids (she does other fantasy creatures too!) and would love to lovingly and meditatively pour over her book….so dreamy!
Thank you so much for this wonderful chance to win… and good luck to all!!!

[Redacted in places, and cut short: I went on for way too long.]
Every time I look over the list and previews, I seem to find a new favorite! However, β€œHeart~2~Heart: 48 Mandalas for You to Color & Enjoy.” ….This is a REALLY strange, in an almost surreal sort of way. Looking again at the title, “Heart to Heart,” it JUST came to mind that February is National Heart Month. Then it dawned on me that today is the 9th– my dad had a massive MI (heart attack) on Feb. 9, 2009. I remember sitting in the hospital’s main atrium (the irony!), all by myself. All over the place there were signs, banners, balloons, and red this-and-that– all proclaiming that February Is Heart Health Awareness Month! Know The Warning Signs of Heart Attack! …And I just sat there, unmoving.
…I am very happy to report that my dad is doing well now. He’s out celebrating Mardi Gras tonight. πŸ™‚
    Be well, everyone.
